What is the Youth Coaching?
The Palm Beach Pumas Youth Academy works with over 3000 children in Palm Beach County. Our College Prep Program participants act as coaches, mentors, and role models for our youth players. Our coaches travel to after school programs where they run hour long sessions for about 15 children. These are introductory soccer lessons. The coaching is not mandatory but does fit into the daily schedule of the student-athletes.
What is the Pay for the Coaching?
The Pumas pay $10 an hour for the coaching. The coaches are paid every two weeks. It is possible to get up to 10 hours a week for about $100 a week.
How are the Coaches Educated on their Position?
The coaches will have a curriculum that they will follow when running their practice sessions. They will also be educated on how to communicate to the children, and given guidelines that will help display a professional demeanor with the personnel of the schools and programs that we work with.
